Ganntrader

Ganntrader is the only complete Gann program available. Other programs may include so called "Gann Angles" but they are often incorrectly drawn. The major Gann methods that you must learn are geometric angles, division of the range, squares of the high, low and range, Trend Line Indicator, Main Trend Indicator, Master Price & Time Chart (SQ of 9) and the natural squares of 52, 90, 120, 144 and 360. Also, the study of the Time Cycles and Angles is an important part of Gann's work and should not be overlooked. All of these capabilities and more are built into Ganntrader.

With the new Ganntrader, I have tried to include every aspect of Gann's methods that I have discovered. I have intentionally not included Elliot Wave, Golden Triangles, Numerology, Candlestock charts and othe rtechnical analysis techniques. You can be assured that the software is pure unadulterated Gann. My collection of Gann's material includes everything that has been published as well as some unpublished materials. If I can't find the method in Gann's own work I don't put it in the software. Gann's methods are classic and need no improvments.

What Gann's methods do need is some computerization to make them easier to learn and easier to use in your trading. The program was designed to allow you an easy way to test and verify each of Gann's techniques that he describes in his books. The master's techniques will never become part of your trading methods until you practice them and see for yourself how well they work. Ganntrader makes that easy!

Ganntrader Technical Specifications

• Works with IBM Compatible 386, 486 or Pentium® computers. Uses math coprocessor if installed. 8 megabytes minimum. 8088 and 80286 not supported.
• Supports EGA, VGA, SVGA 800x600, 1024x768 and 1280x1024 color modes.
• Chart printing requires any Epson dot matrix continuous form printer, 9 or 24 pin for unlimited length charts. Any Epson compatible printer may be used.
• Reads industry standard CSI Quickretrieve®, Computrac® or MetaStock® data files.
• Data file length limited only by available memory. 5 Meg would permit 50 000 days.
• Up to 1 200 price bars can be displayed on the screen depending on video mode with unlimited zoom and scroll capability down to 10 bars on the screen.
• Built in help displays.
• Project blank grids with angles, squares or Time Cycles out to the future dates and optionally exclude weekday holidays in a trading day chart.
• Print or display volume and open interest.
• Print or display 5 or 6 trading day, 7 calendar day or 5 day charts.
• Weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly charts are built from the loaded daily files.
• Intra-day data may be loaded and displayed. MetaStock® RT format supported.
• NLQ 24 pin printers print at 8, 12, 18 and 24 grids per inch. Grid patterns can be 8x8, 8x10 or 10x10. Charts can be unlimited length and 8 or 13 inches tall. • Draw angles from All highs and lows, Major swing highs and lows, Back 360 highs and lows and User Selected highs and lows. Cycle counts of Selected angles are included in printouts and on screen.
• Back 360 angles are multiples of 360 time units (45, 60 or 72) from the cursor's position.
• Individually enable or disable the 1x1, 2x1, 3x1, 4x1, 8x1, 1x2, 1x3, 1x4 and 1x8 angles.
• The rate of rise of the 1x1 angle can be set by the user. The slope of the angles is automatically adjusted for changes in the chart's price scale so that the 1x1 relationship is maintained.
• Individually enable or disable the up-trend, down-trend, up from lows, down from highs, angles from lows, highs or zero.

• Natural squares of 120, 360, 144, 52, 60, 72, 180 and 90 are created with a single hit of the number keys 2 through 9. Key 1 is reserved for a user defined "hot" square.
• Individually enable or disable the 1x1, 2x1, 3x1, 4x1, 8x1, 1x2, 1x3, 1x4 and 1x8 angles, Time Angles, Time Divisions and Price divisions inside the square.
• Division of the range and "7 times the base" can be converted into a square of the range with a single keystroke.
• Square time or price using the mouse for quick squares of range.

• Print or display Time Cycles using earth or sun views of longitude converted to price following Gann's methods. The longitude to price conversion factor can be set by the user.
• Displays Latitude and Declinations Time Cycles.
• Individually enable or disable each Time Cycles plot and any of the following Time Angles: 5 5/8°, 7½°, 11¼°, 12°, 15°, 18°, 20°, 22½°, 24°, 30°, 36°, 40°, 45°, 51.43°, 60°, 72°, 90°, 120°, 180° and 360° plus the sign divisions.
• The longitude and aspect distances for the date of the cursor are displayed for exact measurements.
• Moon and Moon Node Cycles now included with version 2.1.
• Print or display the Time Cycle averages, MOF, CE, Average of 5, 6 and 9.
• Quickly display the average of any group of cycles with single keystroke.

Swing Charts
Display Gann's Main Trend Indicator for time swings or his Trend Line Indicator for price swings. The threshold for the time and price swings are user definable. A "Shade Swings" feature offers a quick visual display for over balance of price or time.

Master Price and Time Chart or Square of 9
Reproduces the price, time and trend ponits of the square of 9 on the screen or printer. Increment value for the square values is user defined.
